has anyone seen or tried these test kits designed for planted tanks, they include tests for CO2, and iron. for 13 bucks does anyone know if its worth it? one more question, say you did the iron test, and it was high, how would you lower Iron in your tank??

Probably a waste of money. I've heard reagent tests for iron are highly inaccurate. As for CO2, unless you're adding it artificially and perpetually it's moot. CO2 will diffuse out of water leaving you very little.

The best thing to do is ask your water company for a chemical analysis. It's provided free. Should you find high iron readings the only way I know to reduce it is by mixing with RO water.
