Which kind works the best and is the most accurate?

Aquarium Pharmasudicals Freshwater Master Test Kit. So I say Liquid.

Liquid Reagent. I also use Aquarium Pharmecuticals Freshwater Master Test kit. Strips are notorious for being inaccurate.

I'll third the vote for liquid test kits vs strips.
I use Aquarium Pharmaceuticals kits for [acronym:c3921ab63a="General Hardness"]GH[/acronym:c3921ab63a], [acronym:c3921ab63a="Carbonate Hardness"]KH[/acronym:c3921ab63a], pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate (these are included in their master kit), and phosphate.
Lamotte, Nutrafin, and Red Sea also make liquid kits; I've used the Nutrafin kits, but found their color charts difficult to interpret..

I use the liquid tests from AP as well. The strips are very imprecise.

Liquid tests from AP as well. For as infrequently as I test my water, I want accuracy, not convenience.

I use the liquid master kit from ap myself, but have been looking at the hagen fw kit, as it tests for more than the ap kit does. a little more pricey but it might be worth it.

Is it too late to further confirm the AP tests? Have served me well for so long.

Why dont you check out the Alabama Regional Forum. Sold all tanks but 29 [acronym:f1e529bac8="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:f1e529bac8] planted(lightly) tank now with 10 neons, 9 serpae tetras, 4 otos, 2 kribs and 3 gourami for the moment.
