Testing on brachish water - fresh or marine...?

Should I be testing brackish water (1.012-1.015 salinity) as freshwater, or salt water when testing for ammonia and nitrate? Thanks!

You want to test SW, because you're supposed to be using marine salt, not aquarium salt. FW tests will not work over a specific gravity of 1.005.
