i've been reading a lot about purigen so i bought some and so far it's working great. i read that water conditioners that are amine based will react with the beads and create chloramines. can i use aquasafe?

ingredients: sodium hydroxymethane sulfinate, polyvinyl pyrollidones, organic hydrocolloids, organic chellating compounds

P.S. i also read that aquasafe has vitamin b1 in it

I wouldn't play the guessing game with this one, Try using Seachem Prime, it definately doesn't have them, no other product seems to mark this on thier website or on thier bottle :?

Sorry, I figured you found purigen, youl'd be able to find that :D

If there's a petsmart out there, they carry it. (white bottle, red label) oh, and it's 1ml/10Gal (1 tsp / 50Gal) whereas most other stuff is 1tsp/ 10gal so you should get 5x the mileage out of a bottle.

oh i was talking about finding seachem prime. i already have purigen and it's working great btw there arent any national chain petstores so not only is stuff hard to find, it's expensive
