I know I'm late getting in on this but...
Keeping bettas in small "betta bowls" are a pet peeve of mine. I can't stand seeing them in such a small space like that. It is reducing them to being nothing more than an ornament to decorate your house. I jsut want to shake people who think that this is a perfectly OK practice.
The one thing that is clear to me is that the writer it is not a native speaker of english, but has translated something out of their own language into english. From the way it is written I'd say that the author is asian. Since it is so disjointed from the poor translation, it is hard to understand exactly what they are tying to say. I do know that what they are describing is terrible.
