Are they compatible?
I would like to get a couple columbian sharks. I would like some colorful action in the middle/top of my tank also, and was thinking about yellow labs. Anyone have any experience with these or any Malawi Cichlids in with sharks/catfish?

Columbian sharks require a high salinity when adult which most [acronym:d96577d1bb="Freshwater"]FW[/acronym:d96577d1bb] fish can't tolerate. Maybe african cichlids can tolerate the salt but I'm not exactly sure. Yellow labs and columbians should be fine together though, unless the columbian can fit the yellow lab in its mouth.

As stated, most Hexanematichthys sp. need increasing salinity as they mature, eventually requiring near fully marine conditions.
