BrianNY, you make an excellent point.

Everyone really has their own opinions here, and I appreciate everyone's input. I guess what it comes down to is getting a lot of input and deciding what reasoning seems the most appropriate. Even the book I picked up on aquariums tells me something a little different!

I should be getting the rest of my equipment delivered today (and what a boon! My husband is taking my daughter to work with him today so she will be out of the house!). Can't wait to get it all and start the project.
