How do snails, frogs, shrimp, and other non-fish-aquatic-animals (nfaa) figure into the 1" per gallon guideline? I was thinking of adding some snails for algae suppression. I see some of those big apple snails and some much smaller snails that have the same-shaped shell. I'm familiar with the small ramshorn snails that multiply a lot. What are these dime-sized, non-ramshorn snails.

Most poo alot but if they are small they add little to bioload ... Apples full size add alot.. Ghost shrimp add minicule amount ...

I saw some apple snails at the lfs that were as big as my fist! I think they are a little too big for my liking.

The 29 gallon black tank. The loaches may give the snails a fit but the ramshorns in there have survived.
