As per title, name three common FW fish you have never kept. Common can mean expensive or cheap but in line with other fish you have kept. But anything that suits really that you wish to post. Add reasons why if you wish.

Mine are:

Silver dollars (love them but love my plants more),

Cories (just not keen on them for some reason but they are rare here as well),

Danios (every time I go to get them, every lfs has run out and when they are in stock, I turn my nose up at them) :)

I'm pretty sure a lot of us has more than three but I'll try to narrow my list down lol

Guppies: While there are some very pretty specimens and varieties, I never had the urge to keep them.

Plecos: I'm meh about them. I do like the look of the long fin varieties though.

Skirt tetras: I tried picturing a nice school of these but I'm not attracted to them. Really hate the inked/neon creations too.

Mollies- never liked them and breed like wildfire.

Platys- have grown to like their color but still not a fan.

Danios- if I had a micro tank I'd consider them. I like the zebra/leopard ones just never owned any.

Pleco's- actually owned one a long long time ago and it got Ich and died. Never will own one again unless it's a Zebra Pleco. They are just too messy.

Danios - never really interested in them tbh

Mollies - same as Danios, also because they're brackish

Betta - believe it or not I never really owned a betta. When I was like 7 my parents had one in a vase but I don't count that because it was poor care of an animal (to no surprise the poor fella didn't last very long). But I do want to find a really nice looking one for my 5.5 gallon if I decide not to do shrimp.

Hatchetfish
Guppies
Neons

Just never had an interest in any of them :flowers:

Loaches - I like the medium/large species, but have never had a large enough tank
Danios - Nice enough fish, but I like tetras more
Anything hard-water, brackish, or saltwater - I have soft water and am lazy

Hatchets-would love to have them never got any for whatever reason
Angelfish-love them but too many issues with tank size and comparability
Tigerbarb-love the look, love long finned fish better

Keep calm and drum on

Loaches, platys, zebra danios

Loaches-never tank space or enough money for a school of them....

Mollies-Not a fan

Gourami- I've always gone for other centre piece fish. Would love a honey or pearl though.

I love mollies. Believe it or not they have a lot of personality.

I had one gold dust female for over 4 years. She used to nibble on my fingers during water changes and let me scoop her up with my hand sometimes.

Very cool fish and very hardy.

I love my Mollies. They're the most sociable fish I own. 1m/5f and I've seen two fry in two months.

My 3 would be
Hatchetfish - love them but never owned for some reason

Plecos. I LOVE plecos but I've had 3 die for unknown reasons over time while still under 5" and have gave up on them

Neon/Glowlight tetras. Love them and never had them

Guppies - Really cool, but it's just I'm more into things that aren't as mainstream
Angelfish - Never had the space for one unfortunately
Dwarf Gourami - Cool looking fish, just never had the urge to get one

1. Any silver fish. They look like dinner.
2. Huge fish. Again, look like dinner.
3. Plecos. Don't look like dinner, but the sucking on the glass is just not a pretty sight.

I had fish for dinner tonight.

You eat fish!?

Just kidding - maybe that's why I like small schools of fish.
