Haven't had them that long but their stripes have started to go a dim grey, the I realised under some light they shine green... Does anyone know what it could be and is it bad?

Actually, the tiger barbs stripes are dark green, sometimes appearing black, with various shades in between. If you're getting lots of fading, you might want to take your readings. If the fading is right after you turn the lights on, it's typical. If you have too small of a group, they can stress and fade, too.

I have 11 Tiger Barbs of all different varieties and the stripes will change from black to green, a green that looks like like a green tiger barb's color.

Thank you guys, Its the first time I got tiger barbs and was hoping it wasn't anything bad!! :)
