Tiny microbes!

I, I've noticed some tiny little white fast moving microbes in my tank!

Are they normal? Should they be there?
 
Microbes are, by definition, microscopic, so you're definitely not seeing them :cool:

Can you describe them at all beyond being small? Could be hydra, daphnia, or any number of other tank-dwelling critters.
 
Well at first I just took them for tiny air bubbles from my pump, but on observation, they didn't move with the flow of the other air bubbles. Almost like jumpy little grains of salt.... How else can I describe them, I can barely see them!
