I've been advised to add salt to my tank because I have mollies. I know that if I put too much it's bad for non brackish fish so only plan to put 1 tsp per 5 gallons but before I do that I want to just double check it wouldn't be bad for any of my other fish. Other stock is:

neon tetras
swordfish
dwarf gouramis
guppies

Advise please!

Thanks

That should be enough to help the mollies and guppies but not enough to hurt the others. My advise is to add 1 tsp per 10g first, then another 1 tsp per 10g two days later. This will get them slowly acclimated. After that 1 tsp per 5 gal should be ok. When you do your WC's remember that some of the salt will still be in the water left over. You'll need to lessen your dosage accordingly. OS.

As long as you dont want corys, ottos, and most plants, you are fine.

I do!! I was planning on adding some corys and also planting the tank so good call, thanks!!

After doing some more research I think I'll hold off on the salt. I read online it says that some tetras are sensitive to it also.
