TT for aquarium

I was wondering if anyone has made their own TT for an aquarium and if so~ how is it done.
I have a 30gal aquarium with the aquaclear 300. I'm wondering if there is something better to use.
DH wants to get a 125gal tank but I'd like some ideas on the filters.
Any advice is much appreciated

Just curious what you mean by "TT" and "DH".

TT means trickle tower
DH means Dear Hubby

Most of the TT links I have found are for ponds. If your talking about a TT for a in house aquarium then its usualy refered to as a wet/dry filter.
