upgrade to a 55gal - Aquarium Advice

ive got a small 5gal hex tank that growing and growing...lol anyhow i think i found a good deal on a 55gal tank and stand..

my plans are getting a fluval 405..

will i need a powerhead?

Welcome to AA!!! You don't need a powerhead, unless you have fish that are more comfortable in fast moving water.

i was thinking of an alternative to an airpump....

or will the fluval put enough O2 in the air i shouldnt need one?

It should, you really only need the airpump etc. for looks, with the filter you should have more than adequate gas exchange.
