I upgraded my 10 gal to a 20 gal tall and wanted to know some stocking ideas. So far I got 5 neon tetras. Would a total of 10 neon and 5 male guppies be alright? I also want to know about some bottom feeders other than cory catfish because I have gravel and I heard it can harm them.

you have a little room to add a bit more with that stocking. depends on what your filtration is.

have you checked out aqua advisor?

AqAdvisor - Intelligent Freshwater Tropical Fish Aquarium Stocking Calculator and Aquarium Tank/Filter Advisor

you can select your tank and filter and what you want to stock in your tank and get an idea of what else you can add

as far as bottom feeders you could try striatas or otos. never had them so someone else could tell you better than i could how they would work in a 20 tall.

If your gravel isn't safe for cories, I don't think you can have any other bottom dwelling fish. Shrimp however might work.

Hmmm. I heard/read tall tanks are not as good for active swimmers.
For stocking levels, Aqadvisor would help.
