Upgrading lights
i need to upgrade my lightning ( trying to have some live plants that require low or medium light). Currently i have the regular hood/light that comes with my all glass aquarium (45g 24'' tall) which is 20w or less. So now, is there any way to upgrade it? what if i buy one of those Sun/Flora/Power Glo bulbs?
http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.js... Can i use one of those in my current hood? if its not possible, what do you guys recommend? i want something not expensive) thx guys! |

That may give you better quality of light, but won't really increase the amount of light you have. You'll need to buy a new light fixture. CF or T5 would be recommended.

I'd go with T5s. They're sweet and very efficient. They also run quite cool.
Check out some fixtures here: Catalina Aquarium
