Urgent!! Please help how do I get the top off my Eheim canister!!!!

The directions stink.

I have an Eheim 2211 and have been trying for the last hour to remove the top of the canister. It is my first cleaning of this filter.

I have undone the latches. Is it supposed to twist off, pull off??? I have tried everything.

My poor fish need their filter back on!!! Help me!

Well there you go. Answered my own question. Thank God for youtube! I needed to let the pressure out by opening the valves, otherwise it locks itself.
No more panic!
