Using salt water media to cycle a freshwater tank

Is it okay to us salt water media to seed my 2.5 gallon tank? And If I do what parts of the saltwater tank should I use to make it go fastest and how long would it take. Thanks

I do not beleive SW media will work to seed a FW tank. Different variations on bacteria.

The bacteria for FW/BW/SW are completely different animals, so to speak lol.

Not only that, but the salt imbedded in SW (ie Instant Ocean), it's really compatible with a FW system, especially such a small tank.
