dont do the pillow method use put it in a bucket with a hose pipe in the bottom i tried the pillow case its very messy and hard work gave up in the end

That probably depends on how often you clean it aswell. I clean mine regularly every weekend. So my tank is never dirty.

So I think ill just take a chance, change it all at once, and keep some gravel in media bags for a week or so.

Just test the water regularly and do water changes if needed

That won't be a problem, jussst came out of a fish in cylce, I'm use to water changes..

All done!!! I lile it 100x's better! Only one thing.. I moved my fish to a rubbermaid container, and long story short my little bro asked where the shark was, not paying attention I just said in the container, after him saying it a few times I looked, sure enough it wasn't, it had "flown" about 2ft:/

Oh, no.. I have no idea how long it had been on the carpet, it didn't make it

Well, its been 4 days and no sign of a mini cycle, it all looks good:

Ammonia: 0.00ppm
NitrIte: 0.00ppm
NitrAte: 5ppm

Haven't done a pwc either.
