What is the correct way to read and maintain your aquarium water tolerances? I am new to the hobby, and I just want to make Sure that I am doing everything the correct way to ensure that my investment in fish isn't being flushed I am dealing with a 55 gallon freshwater tank. Thanks everyone!

With a 55g your best friends are an API master test kit, a bottle of Prime water dechlorinator, and a Python water changing hose. You want to read and understand and choose either fish in or fishless cycling of your tank and you need to understand the nitrogen cycle. There are some articles at the beginning of the forum rooms that explain them. Start from there and then ask us anything you need more info on. Good luck and welcome. OS.
