Water Conditioner

When using water conditioner, do you add the amount of conditioner for the tank volume, or do you add the amount for the water you're replacing? Do I for my whole 20g tank or do I just treat for the 5g I take out and replace?

it depends on how you are doing your water changes. If you are using buckets of water then you can just treat the 5 gallons of new water in the bucket.

If you are using a water changer and fill the water directly from your tap to your tank, then dose the whole tank volume with conditioner
