water fleas?

So today, I saw some little bugs hopping on the surface of my tank. They're tiny, white looking and hop hop hop across the surface.

I can't really find any information about them -- what they are, are they dangerous, should I get rid of them, CAN I even get rid of them.

Just wondering if anyone here knows what I'm talking about.

they are harmless daphnia. here's some info about them

Daphnia, fresh water crustacean (arthropod)

I'm not too certain that they're daphnia, since daphnia are in the water, and these guys are jumping on the water surface...unless they do that too...

Google springtails (collembola) and see whether that's what you have.

yeah! sounds about right. Seems like they're harmless though!
