Water flow at bottom of aquarium?

Hi. I have a 300 litre aquarium with two external filters that agitate the surface of the water very well. I just wondered if there was any benefit to installing a powerhead so there is a current going along the bottom of the aquarium near the substrate? It just seems that the water near the bottom is completely still and waste etc build up. Do fish like a bit of a current? Thanks

IMO I wouldn't go overboard with circulation, you could do some tho
