So we've never had this kind of algae before. It looks like hair algae? Its on one of our live plants, and all of the stems on the end has algae growing off of them. The ottos dont seem to be eating on them. is there anything specific that eat that kind?

It may be blue green algae which isn't an actual algae but a bacteria. I had this a while back on my floating hornworth. I've seen different algaes before but BGA was new to me.
Is it a bright green color (can also be a blue green), stringy like hair, somewhat easy to remove, and does it have a weird smell?

BTW my otos didn't eat it either and from what I've read there are very few algae eaters that will.

Yeah Ill take a picture tomorrow and post it. I havent really messed with it or tried to remove it yet. as many live plants as ive had Ive never had this kind before so I was curious
