What are these?

Found these in my tank while doing a water change. Its a 20 gallon freshwater planted aquarium with a few cory cats, guppies, a pleco, and some featherfin rainbowfish and some assassin snails.

The image is the creature on the moss ball, they are very small, maybe a milometer or so big. In a short gravel cleaning I found at least 10-20 of these.

Any idea what it is and if it is harmful? My initial guess is it is just an Amphipod? I'm surprised this is the first I've ever seen them.

Looks like Bachflohkrebs , juvenile, normal about 12 mm (Gammarus fossarum).
A live food for large cichlids
