I don't think it matters really. Are you trying to prevent breeding or encourage it?

It doesn't matter much. It is best to keep Cory's in a species school of 6+ that is the only reason why people generally do not mix Cory's.
albinos and bronze Cory's can breed together but they are actually the same species. Hope that helps!!

I've always had a mixture of corys in my tank although I've always had a few of each kind.

If you want to avoid breeding mix sizes. I have pygmys mixed with bronze cories and have had no issues or cross breeding.
