I sent an email to see if the smallest one can be used for aquarium use, lol. Says 10x10 area, but would like to know if smaller areas are ok to use it in. And the cost, lol.

Maybe if we ask about it enough, they will make an aquarium sized version.

i dunno lol i may just be skeptic but i dont believe it works that well, and even if it did i'd still be skeptical about using it with my fish for side effects it may have on them. But i guess i'm also a nervous ned when it comes to my fish though.

OH yeah sure, bet that thing works. Sorry but that pic doesn't prove anything. Ponds and lakes can change like that in a week alone. Around here the lakes will all get like that then it'll clear up for a few months. Also it could of been taken while in spring when the water's going through the " back up cycle" and all that wonderful stuff is being churned up and algae is blooming.

Maybe it actually does work but I can't seem to believe it much.

Well, I got a response from the email I sent. Here it is:

Quote:
Dear Mr. Jeffrey Koski,

We received your inquiry asking about our LG Sonic SSS unit:

Can this device be used in a smaller area than the 10x10? How about Aquarium use? What is the cost of the device?

Yes, the device can be used in a smaller area. How big is your aquarium? The transponder measures about 5.25" in length and 2.3" in diameter. In a 50 gallon aquarium, it would probably be a bit much, but you definitely wouldn't have any algae!

The pricing of the different units is as follows:

Pricing for LG Sonic Units:

Cable Power Coverage

Range Length Max. Area Max.

Model Price Meters Meters Watts Acres

SSS $ 795 10 10 20 0.04

Pool $1095 50* 10 30 0.95

Tank $1195 30 10 30 0.34

XL $1995 100 17 45 3.8

XXL $2595 150 17 25 8.5

*assumes chlorinated pool.

Shipping, handling and insurance will be $30 to $32, depending on the unit ordered.

The unit will work in your saltwater tank and you will be pleased with the results. Allow about 120 hours for the ultrasound to kill the algae in your system.

Please follow the link below to our South Santee Aquaculture, Inc. site that discusses the installation instructions.
