What fish should I get for my tank

You have a good many choices to pick from with a 20gal. What kind of fish are ya into?

Dwarf cichlids
Tetras & corys
Rasboras & corys
Cpd's & shrimp....

cichlids aren't livebearers.... They lay eggs. But usually yes they are fine together. have a Bolivian ram with cories and they are fine. Since you only have a 20 I wouldn't get more than one, definitely no more than 2 incase they happen to pair up and spawn, if they do spawn than I would keep an eye on your cories (if you get them) to make sure they aren't harmed, which usually they aren't but it does happen. And cories are a schooling fish and need to be in groups of atleast 5.

A bristlenose pleco would be fine, they only get to be 4 inches. A common pleco can grow to 20 inches and need a very large tank, I'm pretty sure a 55 or 75 gallon tank is to small for a full grown common pleco.
