What is this fuzzy stuff?

I just noticed this white fuzz on my branch.

Any ideas?

36 gallon planted.

Is the wood new to the tank? A lot of driftwood will develop this white fuzz and as far as I know it's harmless. Just doesn't look very nice you can clean it off. Eventually it will go away.

Not brand new, about a year or so, and tonight it seems to be gone!
