I don't think it's any kind of pleco. The person that gave it to me says its a Chinese algae eater which is what it looks like except its green

I really don't think it is a pleco. It doesn't have the wide head of a pleco it has the same body as a Chinese algae eater

It is a chinese algae eater. A full grown adult without the natural pattern.

It's a Chinese algae eater for sure. I have one their a pretty interesting fish.

Yep. CAE for sure. I bought a couple for my community tank. They ended up being v territorial and aggressive towards my platys so they had to go back to the LFS. I know some like these as algae eaters and as fish in general but I have been put off them for life.
