What KInd of Fish is This??????

I caught the fish in a old abbandoned canal (fresh water) Today off lake ontario. Port dalhousie st catharines. I really cant find out what kind of fish this is.

Um, first I think it is illegal to keep a pet of any fish you catch? (Might be wrong) and please tell me you didn;t throw him in with your other fish!

As far ad legalities- depends on jurisdiction. Some states you can keep nearly any fish (outside of endangered) as pets.

Looks similar to a sculpin... But not quite.
