Whats a good Ph Level

Whats a good level for [acronym:22fd327a9b="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]ph[/acronym:22fd327a9b]? I tried to search but counld'nt find the answer i was looking for. Whats a good level for my tank and fish.

I have a 29 gallon tank

just added a penguin 300 and have a basic regent filter from walmart.

78 degrees

6 guppies
3 platys
15-25 guppy fry
4 platy fry

ammonia = 0
nitrate = 0

Current Ph in Tank 8.0-8.2 it hard to tell color exact

Tap water [acronym:22fd327a9b="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]ph[/acronym:22fd327a9b]= 7.8


is this a good [acronym:22fd327a9b="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]ph[/acronym:22fd327a9b] level for my thank around 8.0

Those fish would probably prefer a more neutral pH. Look up each fish's needs at www.liveaquaria.com

As your tank ages, the [acronym:e0746832f8="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:e0746832f8] will gradually be lowered naturally.

I wouldn't do a thing Jeff. The fish you have are probably well acclimated to the [acronym:f4a4e0ce2f="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:f4a4e0ce2f] by now.
