What's living in my media?

I found these little shrimp like creatures alive in my filter media, there is a bunch of them. Picture below

They look like scuds. Might want another opinion on that. They're harmless and fish will usually eat them.

Thanks. Have been doing some more research and found a lot but it's hard to narrow it down. They seem like they would stay in the media though I don't think my fish could get to them cause
I know a couple of them would love the snack!

They're breeding in your tank as well. Your fish are snacking on them quite well I would assume

They dont appear to be anything harmful. There's a ton of little critters out there that live in tanks to get eaten.

Look like scuds to me too! I wish I had them in my tank. They're just helping create a more complete ecosystem in your tank by helping cycle nutrients and providing a natural food source for your fish
