I just got this fish today, and the name is in Chinese which translates roughly to a type of mouse, I obviously know the English correct name is not that. Guppies over here they call peacocks. Is it a type of loach?

Yeah, I looked up the name on google n that appears to be them. Thanks very much

They immediately grouped together in the corner on top of each other haha

Well that's grand, I change near half the tank water every few days

What's best to feed them? I hav freeze dried blood worms, and regular fish food pieces. I'm looking online for those sinking tablets now, I forgot to ask at the shop for them, stupid. Do they eat the vegtables too? I'm now sure how to put veg in the tank

Hikari sinking wafers is a great food, also the Hikari mini algae wafers, or you can break up the large ones into small pieces.

You need organic or very well cleaned vegetables or some people feed fruit too, zucchini or Kale or broccoli. With the chemicals used on foods I would use only organic. It could be frozen ones too, as organic. They will each blanched or microwaved with a little spring water or tank water if that doesn't gross you out. You want it to be softened but not mushy.

You want it to be a little small couple pieces maybe a couple centimeters, and I would remove the piece(s) after 12-24 hours, so you don't foul the water.

You can just drop them in. There are clips to stick on the side of the tank, but my mom had one of her fish got clamped and killed in one so I occasionally feed fresh veggies and just drop them in.

Ok thanks for that. I had a look online there, n they hav a set of diff types of tablets n wafers I tink. I might try that n look for a few veg at the supermarket in meantime

They need a meat based diet. They may nibble on Algae wafers, but breeders feed them almost all live foods. I feed mine frozen brine shrimp and blood worms. Shrimp pellets and other Catfish foods.

One thing to note...most Pandas are not Wild Caught. But if they are WC, they prefer cooler temps than many Cories. Even farmed Pandas won't do well above 80 for long periods. Recommended temps for farmed Pandas are 72-77f.

Very cute fish !

Thanks. I've ordered online catfish pellets, they have a variety box of different kinds. Need wait for it to arrive though. I hav brine shrimp flakes, I threw a few in trying to get them to drop to the bottom b4 the rest ate them. They dont seem interested in them. I hav freeze dried blood worms but they just float on the top and the rest of the fish love them too much n eat them all, driving me mad, hungry little buggers, I'm afraid to over feed the lot now, my platies seem to hav an endless hunger haha.

Active bunch the Corys, they're swimming up down and all over the tank, very fast too. But the minute u walk over to the tank they hide,

Oh and the temp is 23 degrees, I tink that's 75 your temp
