I like cardinal tetras because they are a little bigger than neons and they have a better colo IMO

I like both rummynose tetras and cardinal tetras, as they look very impressive in large schools. Diamond tetras and gold tetras are very shiny and beautiful as well, however diamonds tend to be nippy.

Lol- why? Coz its been clubbed with an ugly stick, or because its an aggressive monster of a fish? Sure wouldn't want to be hand feeding it!

I dont know much about them but i dont think they are very aggressive, just predetory. But the big teeth and cool looking body style is awesome.

Serpea Tetras

This bulletproof, tough, colorful & showy fish have been around forever. Always out and showing off to each other and their owner. Can take water conditions that fold all the others. Little fish-Big attitude. Love them!

Rummynose are cool! So are Glo Tetras, but the glo isn't natural, so that's a downside.

Neon Tetras!!! So flashy and agile

We own neon tetras, so our experience is limited, but these fish have interesting personalities... we only have 3 for now and can still tell them apart by both action and appearance; personality is the right word.

I also like Amandae or Ember Tetras (Hyphessobrycon amandae) and plan to get a few since they don't get much larger than 3/4" to 1" and should interact with our neons well (I hope)

These are web-found shots, not our fish :ermm:
