whats your KH

Just wondering what people's KH level is at. I can"t seem to get mine above 50mg/l. My test kit says this is normally associated with a low ph. My ph is 7.4. How are some of you bring this up.

My kH is around 120ppm out of the tap. You can buffer yours up with Baking Soda, I believe...

What are you trying to fix, change or avoid by changing your kH?

You can bring it up naturally by using crushed coral. I prefer that method since you don't have to dose at every water change like with baking soda.

My KH is somewhere in the mid 300s. pH is off the charts at 8.8+

Kaz- To get the ppm of KH you multiply by a number. Forget offhand what it is. 12.9 or 17.9, something like that. It's in the test kit info.
