Hello imt...

Typically, you'll start to see a bit of color in the females at two weeks. The males at three. This is provided you have a well maintained tank. Pure water conditions keep the fish healthy and developing well.

I like to add a bit of standard aquarium salt to my livebearer tanks. Just a teaspoon or a bit more in every 5 gallons of replacement water. Keeps the fish a bit stronger and more resistant to infections.

They reach maturity around 4-5 months, tho the males tails continue to grow and once the females get pregnant they will get bigger as well.
