Where have you found driftwood??

Looking at a new set up with some driftwood, never used it so have no clue where to find it nor add it to my tank. Are their any added steps? I know stones need a vinegar tests. Any help is appreciated!

I bought mine at the local pet store, and just boiled it for a while to get the tannins out.
