Hehe. In California, we don't have an end to pool season, nor pond season. I can keep a barrel of fish outside year round.
 
I bought a 50lb. bag of Leslie's brand PFS yesterday for 12 bucks. It didn't take that long to rinse and I only had to do a slight water change to get rid of most of the foggyness. It could be a tad whiter, but other than that I think it looks awesome compared to gravel. It gives it a nice natural look.

Damn, maybe all the really dirty sand gets shipped to California. I did a bag that was filthy and gave a bag to my friend that was just as filthy.
