I have a 37 gallon. I want to have an assortment of livebearers in the tank once it is cycled. It has been cycling for about 4 weeks, but I want to get a new filter. What would you guys recommend?

Aquaclear or maybe a sponge filter, aquaclears end is tipped so it might not suck up fry, sponge I'll leave for others

For whatever reason, I have a soft spot for bio-wheels. I've never had problems with them.

I've been using Aquaclear filters for many years without any failures whatsoever. On a 37-gallon I would go with the 50 if it's going to be lightly stocked or the 70 for a heavily stocked tank. A 37-gallon is a tall tank so you may want to get an extension tube. If my memory serves me well they come with two, but you'll want three to make sure it's filtering water from the lower half of the tank.

Whatever you decide to get, make sure you are able to transfer the filter media from the old to the new.
