White Clouds
I just want to know what two of my white clouds are doing, they are showing/extending fins, and viberating on each other.
Thanks

They are definitely 'talking' to each other. I remember watching a gold white cloud strut his stuff across a 125 gallon tank...[acronym:fd4447e535="Laughing out loud"]LOL[/acronym:fd4447e535]. When a prospective female came along he'd go right by her side and shimmy to try and get her attention. Sometimes though he could be talking to another male. In this case, both would flash their fins. The conversation there is more of who's bigger, stronger and better able to hold a preferred egg laying spot for a ripe female.

The males are displaying to each other, trying to 'out do' each other.
If u watch for awhile you will see them compete (show thier erect fins and colours) and eventually one will 'win' and the other swim away from it. They are displaying for the right to mate with the female. If you want to encourage them to breed try adding some cool water to the tank it always sends my white clouds into a fenzy!
