I've heard about a long-finned variety of white clouds, but not different color variations. My guys are silverish with a dark line down the side and bright red spots on the tail. I wouldn't be surprised if there are different color variations since they are so widespread. I'm sure breeders could manipulate the color working from natural mutations. Has anyone seen any other color variations?

Not total variations, but more subtle ones like you both described. They have been in the hobby a long time, so I imagine some degree of color morphs have been acheived, but if so, I havent seen them.
Also, when the fry are growing up, the stripe down the side can look really blue. Makes them look a lot like skinny neons. Mine breed all the time, but I've only raised 3 more or less succesful broods. I have 2 tanks full of white Clouds, love the little buggers. |

These are definelty yellow and red and are IDENTICAL to the white cloud I got the yesterday. But at this pet store I go too it is the only place that I have seem these. My friend gave them to me and she didnt know what they were. So I was going after more fish one day and they had them and it said white cloud and then I asked the manager and he said white cloud....it looks like one but only the color of a gold dust molly!
