White crust around tank outside!

I went away for a couple of days and I noticed a real thick buildup of crust around my top rim of my tank and down the back walls of it. I only put in water treatment and a little bit of sea salt. Is this the salt evaporating out of the water or is it built up bacteria or something else?

I'd sat it's the calcium buildup or the salt buildup from evaporation.

Happens to my tanks regularly. It's salt creep on my tanks. Just gotta wipe it off with some water.

isnt this freshwater though? or is trom the water softener?

I'm unsure why seasalt was added to the tank. But my guess is it is the salt build up.

I have this on my freshwater tanks all the time. It's just calcium build up from your hard water, but in your case, it sounds like it's from the salt.
