could i use this product for my tank. Mainly to clean off the top of the hood. And if i can how do i apply it?

It says its safe for fish but it doesnt say how to clean with it.

I would not fool with that stuff at all. Vinegar works fine. If you can do the cleaning away from the tank and be sure you are getting the residue off, a product like CLR, or LimeAway work very well too, and are cheap. I personally use vinegar and some elbow grease.
