White Slime

I looked in my tank this morning and found some type of white slime coating my airstones and tubing. Also some freefloating around the tank.

Does anyone know what this could be?

How long has your tank been set up? What fish are in it? Water parameters? Any recent additions?

In my betta tank, sometimes the ornaments used to get slimy as his slime coat was rubbing off onto the places he liked to rest.

what kind of fish, and what do u feed them
my oscars spit out the fat from any fresh kangaroo meat i give them, and it shows up as a clear/white slime on plants, wood etc, once it settles

my snails, their "gel" gets attached to sand and doesnt look very nice
