Why are Cichlids so FAST!

I just spent the last hour knee deep in my backyard pond trying to net up two tiny cichlids to give away before winter rolls around. I only caught one! I just can't catch that auratus. Well what Can I say 100gallons (drained it so that there was just enough room for the koi to swim) and one 3 inch tiny black fish in a black bottomed pond.

You just need the right net. Get a buddy and a minnow seine.

I've got a 20foot long seine in the garage but it's been in some questionable lakes so I wouldn't want to put it in there haha.

Also doing the cha-cha in your boxers helps too =] be sure to put it on Youtube as well.

No cha-cha ing or pop-lock and dropping was required. I just took out all the cover available in my pond and put in a bait pot. Mr. Auratus thinks that it's a nice cozy cave and SNATCH right into a net.
