Does anybody have any idea why my rummy nose would of jumped out the tank?

Yes my water quality is perfect however i did only purchase them on sunday and by Wednesday he had jumped out :(

Sadly, this is something that happens far too often :( Some fish will just take a leap.

Does your tank have a top? Sometimes fish can go haywire. When I'm feeding, some of my fish will shoot up from the bottom and splash me pretty good, I'm lucky they haven't jumped out yet. Sorry to hear.

That's a good point, sometimes my cichlids will bounce off my lid during feeding time.

Yea it does have a top but with half a centimetre gap around the rim and also a 1 inch whole to remove the lid.

Do you have any floating plants? Rummynose enjoy the shade and dimmed light.

Floating plants also create a barrier that may prevent other fish from jumping out.
