Question Will otocinclus eat marimo moss ball?

I have some cute marimo moss balls in my tank. If I got some otos, will they eat the marimo?

Plus: would a couple of otocinclus be happy in a ten gallon? Or is that too small?

Thanks!

No otos won't eat Marino moss balls they mainly eat algae and most are wild caught so if they clean the tank to well so to speak algae wafers or blanched zucchini can be supplemented can be difficult to get them to eat those 2-3 should be OK in a 10g I've had them in mine before their bio loads are small is your ten a planted tank they thrive better in a planted tank and can be sensitive to poor water quality

Marimo moss balls are algae. Any herbivorous or omnivorous creature may find them delicious.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, marimo moss balls, despite the name, are an algae.

Otos like to eat algae... I know plecostomus will eat marimos, so I wasn't sure about the otos.

How many otos in a ten gallon? Two? Three?

Otos should be safe with your moss balls.
