Will spiney eels eat tubifex worms?

I broght home a package of tubifex worms instead of blood worms by mistake. My spiney eel is in feeding mode, ie: serching the tank after I dropped them in, but I haven't seen it eat any. Anyone know if it will eat them, or should I go out and get another package of bloodworms tomorrow?

My eels won't eat tubifex, in fact, most of my fish ignore it. My eels (plagiostoma's) are fed mostly frozen bloodworms, occaisonally frozen brine shrimp. Works for me, the female has spawned several times.

Yeah, the eel sure seemed to pass right by the tubifex, in its search for the customary bloodworm meal. My tetras, angels, and zebras gobbled up the majority of the tubifex. Note to self: read packages carefuly!
