I set up a 45 gallon a few weeks back with seed water and media from my 100 and threw an Oscar in there as a grow tank until i can find a new home for my Angelfish and such. I have been feeding him flake once in the morning and then 2 cubes of bloodworms in the evening. I wake up today and notice that the glass on my aquarium is covered by hundreds of tiny "hairs." When I looked closer I noticed they were moving. I can only assume it is bloodworms. I use frozen bloodworms and never ever over feed him. He keeps it clean in there. Is this an unusual thing? What do I need to do here?

I would guess that you're dealing hydra from the description. This appear naturally in the water if there is no fish present to eat them. There are several different types, some feed on algae others on micro-organisms, tiny fry, and shrimplets.
